About the Leonardo Education Forum

Mission The Leonardo Education Forum (LEF) is a working group of Leonardo/The International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology (Leonardo/ISAST). The Leonardo Education Forum promotes the advancement of artistic research and academic scholarship at the intersections of art, science, and technology. Serving practitioners, scholars, and students who are members of the Leonardo community, LEF provides a forum for collaboration and exchange with other scholarly communities. LEF is an active community of over 100 members and growing annually. It is governed by a board consisting of three co-chairs, who serve on a staggered, three-year, rotating term. Each year a new chair is selected by members in the LEF community to replace the outgoing chair. There is also a set of graduate and emerging professional (GEP) chairs, who serve similarly. Members also communicate via the LEF Google Groups listserve (http://groups.google.com/group/leoeduforum). What We Do LEF actively participates in research conferences, including the annual meetings of the College Art Association (CAA) and the Society for Literature, Art, and Science (SLSA). Our members organize panel discussions, convene mentoring workshops, curate exhibitions, and organize other events that promote scholarship and education at the intersections of art and science. LEF is an initiative of the Leonardo Educators and Students Program, which also includes the Leonardo Abstracts Service (LABS)--a comprehensive collection of Ph.D., Masters and MFA thesis abstracts in English, Spanish and Chinese, on topics in the emerging intersection between art, science and technology.   Join the Leonardo community and participate in Leonardo Education Forum activities The Leonardo Education Forum is open to all individuals who are members of Leonardo/ISAST.
